What I offer
Taster sessions - click here for the next available session
The taster sessions will be an introduction to mindfulness practice, and will include some mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, and we will explore some of the attitudes of mindfulness, and how we incorporate those into our daily lives. We will also do some creative activities – we will not be focussing on creating finished pieces of artwork, we will be using the creative process as a means to mindfulness. All materials and resources are provided.
Introduction to the Mindfulness Now Programme
If you’re interested in Mindfulness, but don’t yet feel ready to commit to an 8-week programme, why not come along to a taster session. This is an opportunity to find out what mindfulness is all about, explore some of the practices used in the full 8-week course, and discover how these simple techniques can help you live with more calm, clarity, and resilience.
The Mindfulness Now Programme combines the proven methods of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Over the full 8 weeks, participants learn a variety of mindfulness skills to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. This taster session gives you a snapshot of that journey.
During our time together, you will:
-
Learn what mindfulness is (and what it isn’t)
-
Explore the science behind how it can help reduce stress and anxiety
-
Try short, guided meditations
-
Discover how to bring mindfulness into everyday activities
-
Take part in some mindful creativity and mindful movement
-
Have time for questions and reflections
Whether you’re here to find ways to manage stress, improve focus, sleep better, or simply be more present in your day-to-day life, this session is a safe space to explore mindfulness in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
By the end of the 2-hour session, you’ll have a taste of the tools and approaches used in the 8-week Mindfulness Now Programme and a sense of how they could fit into your own life.
Each taster session costs £25 and will be held at the Garden Room, Newton Meadows, Wem Road,
Harmer Hill, SY4 3EA
